For many years, Close to My Heart has been supporting Operation Smile.
This not-for-profit charity repairs childhood facial deformities through free surgeries. A child’s cleft lip or cleft palate can be repaired for as little as $240 and in as few as 45 minutes. Over 220,000 surgeries have been performed since Operation Smile.was founded in 1982.

Here are a few ways you can make a difference in a child's life. Your donation will help change the lives of children all over the world, one smile at a time.

Option 1. - Order a t-shirt
Show your support for Operation Smile by purchasing an exclusive to Close To My Heart t-shirt from me !  $10 of every shirt purchased is donated to Operation Smile™.

There are two designs, available in grey and red, in both men’s and women’s for $29 CAD. Consultants do not receive any commission from the sales of these shirts and the price does not count toward hostess rewards, instead, $10 of the purchase price goes straight to Operation Smile! Now THAT is something to SMILE about!

Find them HERE ! 100% cotton. To view a sizing chart (XS-4X), please click here and go to the very bottom of that page.

Cross Canada blog hop - July

Bienvenue to the Cross Canada July Blog Hop featuring the current Operation Smile Stamp Set, "Happy Everything". When you purchase this stamp set, Close To My Heart will donate $3 to Operation Smile, a non-profit organization that performs life-altering surgeries what will give children confidence for a lifetime. They have performed over 220,000 surgeries since being founded in 1982.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop. If you came from Nicky Scott's Timeless Cottage blog in Hampton, New Brunswick then you are in the right place!

Summer is HERE, and that means BBQ with friends and weekend at the cottage.

By the time you pack up the kids and load up the car, who has time to find the perfect hostess gift? Just grab a bottle of wine, slip a tag on it's neck and go.

This is a super simple project that your holiday hosts are sure to appreciate.
Wine bottle tags for hostess Operation Smile stamp
 Wine Bottle Tags

1. Trim your paper to inches 3 x 8 inches.
2. Cut fishtail at one end if you like.
3. Score other end at 3" and center the circle punch from the edge to make the opening for the bottle neck. Use the corner rounder if you like.
4. Stamp the sentiment from the "Happy Everything" Operation Smile set, onto a piece of Daisy white cardstock.
5. Mat the sentiment onto cardstock, adhere to the tag.

For the yellow wine tag with the bumble bee, I stamped the flight of the bumble bee directly onto the tag and then stamped the teeniest saying from the stamp set "You deserve it", and popped up the beecause on cardstock so the pun would stand out.
